Starting out as a dancer, I studied vocals at Codarts Rotterdam, engaged in some acting and ended up in the theater. Originally a singer songwriter I sang in many formations, started writing to question the meaning of life, love and our roles in society, and evolved into a poet and librettist.

In these productions I collaborated amongst others with composer Paul van Brugge (Golden Calf 2005), pianist/composer Dimitar Bodurov,  jazz pianist Jeroen van Vliet (Boy Edgar Award 2014), and in the early days with musicians Tijn Smit, Age Kat, Arend Niks, Martin Bakker and many more.

Writing, singing and creating theaterperformances is what I do, often inspired by visual art and designed within a current social theme. The main driver in these creations is the 'condition humaine' and an attempt to answer the question; who or what is the one that says 'I'.

At an early age I discovered the book "An End to Time", a conversation between quantum physicist David Bohm and spiritual teacher Jiddu Krishnamurti on the ground of our existence. This was the beginning of a lifelong quest that led to special places and experiences including 5 years as a practicing Buddhist, only to 'end up' with non-dualism.
